No. A QR code is a picture of text. It cannot run programs or install apps by itself. The worst it can do is open a bad web page — and your phone shows you that address first. Read the preview, skip odd links, and scanning stays safe.

Ours is. Everything runs in your browser: your link never leaves your device, nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored. Many free tools upload your data or demand an email first. Ask two questions before any generator: does it need an account, and does my data leave my phone?

Fake codes that point at lookalike login pages to steal passwords. They hide on posters, parking meters, and emails. Defense is simple: read the preview address before tapping, and type important addresses by hand. Our static codes cannot redirect or change after printing, so what you check is what you get.

Ours cannot. Static codes carry no server, so there is nothing to phone home and nothing to count. Paid dynamic codes are different: they route through a server that logs every scan — city, device, time. If nobody should know you scanned, use a static code from a tool that asks for nothing.
